The Studio
I have been very lucky to have been taught by some incredible teachers, the majority of whom teach in the traditional way, though hosting classes and workshops at their on homes. It has therefore been very important to me to find the right space - a space which feels calming, providing an oasis from day to day life, in a small and private location which enables students to feel safe, with their individual needs supported, as well as feeling at ease in natural and serene surroundings.
I have been incredibly fortunate to be able to create my own Tiger Mama Yoga studio at home. The studio is a purpose-built, natural wood cabin, located at the rear of my south-westerly facing garden.
Backing onto the Newhall Valley nature reserve, the garden is abundant with trees, plants, sunlight and birdsong, and receives the rising sun in the morning and the cosy blanket of dusk int the evening, meaning you really feel at one with nature throughout the cycles of the days, seasons and weather.
The studio has recently been fitted with a large infra-red heater which can heat the studio up to 40 degrees, as well as having sliding glass double doors to let in the sun light and fresh air during warmer days, really bringing the outside in. Additionally, there are parking and toilet facilities on site.
